Women’s History Month: Spotlight on Dr. Renee Streeter

This Women’s History Month, we want to put a spotlight on one of the women behind PetPlate’s healthy, tail-waggin’ recipes, Dr. Renee Streeter.

Growing up on her family’s dairy farm surrounded by animals fostered her love of nutrition and animals and naturally led her to a career in Veterinary Nutrition. After graduating from Cornell University, Dr. Streeter worked in a large animal feed company before going on to veterinary school at Ross University and a clinical nutrition residency at her alma mater Cornell. While in her residency she focused on the relationship between omega-3 fatty acids, adipokines, and canine obesity and treating selenium deficiency in horses. From there, she went on to start her own veterinary practice and is now a board-certified Veterinary Nutritionist and the Principal Nutritionist with BSM Partners.

When PetPlate Founder, Renaldo, reached out to Dr. Streeter to collaborate on his recipe development, she readily agreed. Through her consultation, Dr. Streeter has worked with PetPlate to create a complete and balanced diet that is highly palatable for dogs. A healthy meal doesn’t have to be a bland meal, and Dr. Streeter makes sure that every PetPlate recipe is as tasty as it is healthy. With her recipes, your pup’s meals are comprised of high-quality ingredients, vitamins, and minerals, and Dr. Streeter hopes every dog enjoys PetPlate and can experience the benefits of a truly healthy diet.

Dr. Streeter works to ensure that our meals appeal to pups of all ages, breeds, and sizes. PetPlate’s food can be enjoyed by all kinds of pups, even those with sensitive tummies, picky pups who turn their noses up at kibble, and dogs who will eat just about anything. She knows that “the mission at PetPlate is to make mealtime a joyful experience for pet parents and their beloved dogs — that’s what makes PetPlate special.”

So, this Women’s History Month, join us in thanking the woman who makes sure your pup’s meals taste delicious and support their long healthy, and happy lives. Your dogs are wagging their tails and jumping for joy because of Dr. Streeter’s great work!
